We send our loved ones to nursing homes or living facilities because they can no longer take care of, or provide for themselves. Many of us have busy lives that wouldn't be able to concentrate solely on our loved ones needs. We all would like to think that our parents, grandparents or loved ones are being treated kindly, and lovingly, but reality is, we will never know what goes on behind those closed doors. For this reason, Rep. Ronald Waters is sponsoring HB 1144, which simply enforces electronic monitoring in nursing homes, personal care homes, and assisted living facilities. To make sure our loved ones are being treated with the utmost respect and care, and to be sure these crimes won't happen to anyone else's family again.
